Folarin and Keziah defy traditional norms with their eclectic style and fusion of contemporary Christian and Gospel music genres. Originally from Nigeria, the married duo made Canada home in 2012 after a sojourn in the UK. 2019 was the big breakthrough year for the singer songwriters and producers, with the release of four singles: Jesus Is Alive, You Deserve, You Are My God and Surrendering All.
Jesus is Alive is brimming with an infectious amount of soul which won’t fail to resonate around the monstrous guitar riffs, funky bass lines, soaring synth lines, and the charismatically magnetic dual vocals from Folarin & Keziah. The energy in this single is more potent than any track I’ve heard this year.
Folarin & Keziah also started their own independent label; God Colors Media Inc. to produce, publish and promote genre-defying worship music that reach beyond boundaries of culture, colour and creed. On Dec 6, 2019, Folarin & Keziah released their self-produced debut album ‘Relentless’ with raving reviews from A & R Factory, Jesus Freak Hideout, Louder Than The Music and Faith Today.
“Relentless” provides an ethereally sweet array of soundscapes which may vary in genre and tone. Yet, one thing which remains a constant is the inspiring soul poured into each of the singles."
Folarin & Keziah won the ‘International Band Single of the Year - Gold’ at the 2020 International Singer Songwriter Association (ISSA) Awards and are multiple nominees of the Canada GMA Covenant Awards - Gospel Song of the Year (2019), Gospel Artist of the Year (2022) and Group of the Year (2023). While the world was devastated by covid-19, Folarin & Keziah offered hope, comfort and prayers through their 5-part monthly virtual tour: ‘Relentless Online Worship Series (ROWS) in 2020. On December 30, 2022 Folarin & Keziah released the single Everything To Me. The duo followed up with the release of four singles - Greatest, Long ToWorship, Audience of One and King of Glory in 2023.
Folarin & Keziah shared the love through their single, Everything to Me, which casts aside the traditional aural archetypes to bring in the new school of contemporary gospel. The eclectic fusionist style allows gospel instrumentals to evolve around the shimmering dualistically balanced harmonies.
On November 1, 2023, Folarin & Keziah released their sophomore project Greatest (EP) which included their last 5 singles and a new track I Owe You Me and available on all music platforms! The EP was co-produced with Samuel Williams and featured a collaboration with Melina Dulluku.
